Breaker is a duo consisting of Marta Zapparoli on tapes, radio and antennae, and James Banner on amplified double bass and electronics. They create long-form pieces and immersive walls of sound, with a tapestry of static and evolving tones ruptured by jarring outbreaks. Through ritualistic utterances, each statement develops microscopic details of sound into sonically mesmerising, guttural and alien worlds.
